This application is specifically designed for users of the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System. It provides an efficient means of monitoring glucose levels without the need for fingersticks or calibration, making it suitable for diabetes management decisions.

With the Dexcom G6, glucose readings can be accessed in real-time, approximately every five minutes, through a compatible smartphone or smartwatch. This feature ensures that users are always informed about their glucose status with just a quick glance. It is pertinent to note that if there is any discrepancy between glucose alerts and physical symptoms, users should use a blood glucose meter to inform their diabetes treatment choices.

The system caters to children aged 2 and older, offering personalized trend alerts directly on smart devices. Users can manage their diabetes more effectively with notifications indicating when glucose levels are approaching low or high thresholds. The Alert Schedule feature allows for the customization of a secondary set of alerts, with available options for custom alert sounds, including a Vibrate-Only mode on mobile devices. However, the Urgent Low Alarm cannot be muted for safety reasons.

The Always Sound setting ensures that critical alerts are received even when phone sounds are off or in Do Not Disturb mode. This feature allows for silencing other notifications while still ensuring awareness of key CGM Alerts such as Low and High Glucose alerts, Urgent Low Soon Alerts, and Rate of Change alerts. The default setting for Always Sound activates these notifications automatically, with visual indicators available to confirm alert functionality on the home screen.

In addition to its accurate performance, the Dexcom G6 System includes several valuable features:

 <li>Data sharing capabilities enable users to share glucose information with trusted individuals via the Dexcom Follow app, allowing followers to monitor glucose trends on their compatible devices, provided there is an internet connection.</li>
 <li>The Quick Glance feature presents glucose data on the lock screen of supported devices for immediate access.</li>
 <li>A seamless transition to the Dexcom Clarity App is facilitated through a link on the landscape trend graph, enabling users to explore more detailed information on glucose trends.</li>
</ul>

For Wear OS users, integration allows activation of the Dexcom G6 watch face for quick access to glucose data and trends directly from the wrist. Additionally, glucose alerts and alarms can be viewed conveniently through Wear OS devices.
